Our story
Born from community. Built on trust.
Quiet Shores began as a group chat among members of an outpatient program — people who needed each other and didn't want to lose that connection when treatment ended. What started as a handful of messages grew into something none of us expected: a real community, a safe haven, and a home for anyone in our bilingual Fort Myers community who needs support and resources to cope.
What we believe
We are peer-run, not clinical. We are neighbors, not providers. And we believe that showing up for one another — in English or in Spanish — is one of the most powerful things a community can do.
Everyone deserves to be heard
No matter your background, language, or what you're going through — your voice matters here.
No judgment, no pressure
You share what you're ready to share. There is no script, no expectation, and no wrong way to show up.
Peer support over clinical advice
We are not therapists. We are people who have been there — and that lived experience is exactly what makes this space work.
Rooted in the local community
We serve the Fort Myers area and are especially committed to our bilingual community, connecting members with resources in both English and Spanish.
Grief and loss are welcome here
You don't have to be in crisis to come. And if you are carrying grief, loss, or pain — this is exactly the right place.
You don't have to be in crisis to come
Some people come when things are hard. Some come when they just want connection. Both are equally welcome.
The people behind Quiet Shores
